Waterdance

Fish Camp at Waterdance is a unique property located on the river in Cullowhee North Carolina. The ultimate nature experience and a bonus if fly fishing for trout is your favorite pastime….you’ll have the river all to yourself! You are more than welcome to bring your furry friend upon approval and there is a $150.00 non refundable pet fee per pet (maximum 2 pets). NOTE – The cabin has heat and A/C via heat pump.

This 2 story, 2 bedroom, 2 bath log cabin has a rustic feel yet is extremely well appointed and meticulously presented. The main floor includes the living room which has a large wood burning fireplace as well as satellite TV and a DVD player with an extensive DVD library for your enjoyment. We have some board games for rainy days. There is a covered porch off the living room that overlooks the river.

The dining area has a lovely wooden table that seats 6 and is located off the living room and just outside the kitchen. The kitchen has a gas stove and is well equipped for your stay – you will find all the pots and pans, Tupperware, cutlery and crockery that you will need.

The master bedroom has a Queen bed and is located off the living room and dining area – there is a gas fireplace in the master bedroom – there is a small porch off the master bedroom that overlooks the river (20 feet away!). The master bathroom has a walk in shower as well as a tub with a river view.

The upper level is home to the 2nd bedroom which has 4 twin beds (beds stack up on each other) and the bathroom has a large tub.

PLEASE NOTE: We have the best internet that the area supports (satellite internet) and you will be able to make wifi supported calls and send emails and texts – you will not be able to stream movies or hold Zoom meetings. There is a landline with unlimited long distance for your use. The washing machine is a washer / dryer all in one combo – please be aware that laundry will take much longer than usual – there is limited space in this cabin.

OUTDOORS: There is a firepit for your enjoyment. There is a covered pavilion on the waters edge that has a large wood burning fireplace, built in grill and picnic tables that you are able to use.

FISHING: Guests at Fish Camp at Waterdance are allowed to fish upriver as far as they would like and are welcome to fish downriver ONLY AS FAR AS the pavilion. We ask you do not go downriver past the pavilion as that part of the river is controlled by Brookings. Should you desire to have a guide farther down past the pavilion please call and schedule with Brookings.

The Lake House

Secluded, private home on private lake – great outdoor living! The Lake House is the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy nature. The entry level houses the living room with large flat screen TV (programing is via streaming – use your own account to stream). The living area is “open plan” – off the living room is a dining area with a table that seats 8. The kitchen has loads of countertop space and includes a ‘kiddie breakfast bar”. Coffee maker is drip.

The large deck is off the living area and overlooks the lake. The deck has a gas grill as well as outdoor tables, chairs and a hammock. The walk to the lake is not arduous and will take about a minute and a half (126 walking strides – no steps, just a path to follow). There is a kayak and two paddle vessles.

There are 2 bedrooms on the entry level – a King and a Queen bed and each bedroom has an attached bathroom.

Behind the living area is another area that houses a small child’s day bed.

The upper level houses a bedroom with 2 twin beds as well as a cot – there is a “bathroom” on this level that comprises a toilet and sink only. The living area around the upstairs bedroom has a lot of space for children to play and there is an additional cot.

Absolute Delight

Located in the heart of Sapphire Valley this lovely three bedroom, two bath home is well situated for your vacation needs. Cashiers is 5.5 miles away, Highlands is 16 miles, Brevard 24 miles and the Sapphire Valley Community Center is a mere 2.7 miles away. You are centrally located to restaurants in Sapphire and Cashiers and the Ingles grocery store is 4.6 miles from the house.

The living room is spacious, has a gas fireplace and a 65″ Smart TV – you are able to sign into your favorite movie or news app.

The dining table is off the living room and can seat 6 – the kitchen is located off the dining area and there is a 2 seat island bar.

The kitchen is newly remodeled with new granite countertops, a new dishwasher and a new refrigerator.

Off the living area is the King master bedroom with its en-suite bathroom which includes a walk-in shower, tub and toilet as well as a double sink vanity.

The two queen bedrooms are located on the other side of the house and share a bathroom which has a shower tub.

There is a loft area, accessible by a flight of stairs off the living room. The loft has a sleeper sofa as well as a Smart TV.

There is a double garage that is attached to the house and is accessible through a flight of stair leading down from the living area.

When renting Golden you are able to purchase guest passes at the Sapphire Valley Resort at $3/day per person with a 3 day minimum – activities include: Indoor and outdoor pools, putt-putt, a par 3 9 hole golf course, horse riding, skiing and tubing during the winter, discounted golf at the Sapphire National 18 hole golf course. During the summer months there is a kids mini camp where kids can be dropped off for a few hours or the whole day. you will also have access to Sapphire lake where you can rent kayaks and canoes.
